Showcase Home~ Ocean & Mermaid Mural
A view from the adjoining fairy room that shows the "boat" anchored on the ocean floor. The shape came from the attic eaves jutting into the space and gave us the idea for the room theme. Dolphins play on the ceiling, and sea turtles swim in the sunbeams coming through the water. A throw ring life preserver floats above with the familys boats name on it.
Our life-size ASID Showcase Mermaid, combing her long hair by the kids study area. We used opalescent paint on her tail and pearls so that she shines in the light.
